The position:

Hughes Blake, Chartered Accountants & Registered Auditors is recruiting an audit manager for immediate start. The manager will be one of two managers in a busy audit & advisory department of a multi-disciplinary firm. Candidates will have responsibility for a quality client base across a wide range of industry sectors and specialist fields.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for candidates who looking for an opportunity to manage in a growing top 20 firm. Candidates should have the following minimum requirements:

  • Minimum third level degree in accounting/finance/business.
  • ACA/ACCA qualification with 3 years PQE.
  • Experience in a manger/assistant manager role (preferably in top 20 firm).
  • An outstanding work ethic and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage staff, delegate, monitor and train.
  • Self-motivated with drive, enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of UK/Irish GAAP and FRS 102.
  • Ability to demonstrate their achievements to date.

What will you be doing:

In our expanding audit and accounts department you will get the opportunity to develop your managerial experience.  As part of your role you will be expected to:

  • Maintain and deliver on the compliance and other requirements of a varied client list.
  • Work with an enthusiastic team to help delivery this service to clients.
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
  • Working with other departments in the firm, Tax, Company Secretarial, Corporate Finance etc. to ensure a full service delivery for clients.
  • Preparation of detailed reports on the performance of the department and ensuring department meets the goals set out by the partners.
  • Ensuring the firm meets its compliance requirements.
  • Assist in the development of strategy for the department and the firm as a whole.
  • Assist in the identifying potential new clients and turning leads into new clients for the firm.
